Railway Recruitment 2018-19 Examination For ALP TECHNICIAN,GROUP D AND JE COMPLETED

Indian Railways successfully conducts a phase of recruitment, one of the largest practices in the world.

47.45 lakh candidates appeared for more than 64,000 posts of Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians

About 1.17 crore candidates appeared for more than 63,000 posts in Level I (erstwhile Group D) posts.

24.75 lakh candidates appeared for more than 13,500 posts for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical Metal Assistant (CMA).

During the recruitment process, maximum possible levels of security and scrutiny were ensured

IT enabled facilities were included in the examination process; No two question papers were the same

As per Official notifications - one for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician (CEN 01/2018) and the other for Level-I posts (CEN 02/2018), were issued for filling in the year 2018. was 1.27 lakh vacancies.

The total posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians were 64,371. About 47.45 lakh candidates applied for these posts. The vacancies for Level-I posts (erstwhile Group D) were 63,202 and around 1.9 crore candidates applied for these posts. Around 26.7 million applicants applied, making it the largest recruitment exercise.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) for the posts of ALP & Technician was conducted in 33 shifts in 11 days from 9 August to 4 September 2018, with 440 test centers in 166 cities across India and the highest attendance. 36.42 lakh candidates (about 7%).

For this recruitment, the second phase of CBT was conducted in 6 shifts from 21 January 2019 to 23 January 2019. Attendance was 88%.

A Computer Based Aptitude Test for ALP was conducted only on 10.05.2019. Attendance was around 84%.This was followed by document verification process and medical examination.

The panels have been equipped for the posts of ALP and Technician (CEN 01/2018) of about 17,500 posts of Railways.The rest of panels are under process due to medical appeal cases.The remaining panels will soon be advised to the zonal ministry of railways.

Mega CBT (erstwhile Group D) for Level-1 posts started on 17 September 2018 and successfully completed on 17th 2018. 152 examinations were conducted in 51 days in 16 cities in 40 city examination centers. The total number of eligible candidates was 1,89,82,719 (about 1.90 crore), of which 1,17,14,754 appeared for the computer based test, which is about 61.71%. This was followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification and Medical Examination Process.

For the posts of Level-1 (CEN 02/2018), panels of about 53,000 posts have been equipped in the Railways. The rest of the panels are under process due to medical appeal cases. The remaining panels will soon be advised to the zonal ministry of railways.

For the post of JE / DMS / CMA, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has selected the first phase of computer based on 22.05.19 to 02.06.19 and 26.06.2019 for 24.75 lakh candidates for the post of JE / DMS. . Tested. / CMA. It was conducted in 35 innings in 12 days at 356 examination centers in 109 cities in India. Attendance was around 62.5%.

The second stage CBT for this recruitment was conducted in 10 shifts from 28 August 2019 to 1 September 2019. Attendance was 88%. Candidates for document verification and medical examination will be informed soon.
